Angie Jaillet-Wentling is a Historic Preservation Specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) specializing in archaeology. She covers seven counties in southwestern Pennsylvania’s Engineering Districts 11-0 and 12-0. Angie graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Applied Archaeology. Her archaeological career began with PENNDOT as a Cultural Resources Intern in 2008 and she was the first Field Director of the PHAST program. She has experience in pre-contact and historic-era investigations in eight states of the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions over the past eight years in Cultural Resource management. Angie’s areas of interest include public archaeology (media applications), GIS and LiDAR applications in archaeology, and the region’s precontact, contact, and historic-era archaeology!
